I had to reinstall my Photoshop after upgrading to Windows 10 (yes, I succumbed to it finally) and again, had to deal with the registration form that kept popping up. Luckily I remembered this article and managed to vanquish it a second time, muahaha! Bye bye, irritating pop-up!
After Naruto manga ended, I haven’t been checking the major manga titles for a while. So when I got caught in a reading mood these few days, I read some summaries to find out where Bleach and Fairy Tail has gotten to.
I am totally not surprised to find that Bleach is still nowhere near the end of its current (final?) arc, and that the Soul King has finally finally appeared. Pleased to learn that Fairy Tail’s Tartaros Arc had ended but a little mixed that there’s another arc to wait through. But that bombshell dropped at the end of Tartaros Arc… holy mother of Gaia, it changes so many things. And Gray’s new look is kinda cool, haha.
All in all, looking forward to more Fairy Tail growth, not so much for yet another new batch of enemies and ambiguous alignments. And Bleach… just end please, really.
I’m not sure if it’s because I changed the permalink structure or because of the way I swap the live site with the test site, but I seemed to have lost the data on how much Facebook shares or likes that my posts have. @_@
Oh well… they were nice to look at but what’s gone is gone.
Saw this video when I went to watch a movie at one of the Cathay Theatre recently, and something about it really touched me deeply. I’m not even sure what exactly about it keeps making me tear up, but I don’t think I’ll be able to forget this video for a long time.
First, the man who became the face of Star Trek’s Spock for decades, Leonard Nimoy. Then, Sir Terry Pratchett who created a whole fantasy Discworld for fans of all ages. And last, the founding father of a tiny nation that bloomed impossibly in just 50 years, Lee Kuan Yew, who passed away today.
These past 30 days have not been good to us. We lost three brilliant men who each made history in their different areas of influence. And two of such influence featured greatly in my own life.
I came into contact with Sir Terry Pratchett’s books at a low point of my life. His sharp wit and unique brand of humor pulled me out of the darkness I let myself fell into then, and continued to cheer me up immensely since. So much so that I indulged in a bit of retail therapy and bought as much of the Discworld series that I can find, and sank my mind into the whimsical fantasy world that Sir Terry Pratchett constructed. In a sense, he saved my sanity for a while there. May his writing live on forever in his place, and bring cheer to generations more.
Mr Lee Kuan Yew is the first Prime Minister of Singapore, and together with his ministers then, were responsible for transforming what was just a small island colony into a 1st world country. And that miracle of a nation, Singapore, is my home. It is Mr Lee’s vision and more than 50 years of his life that made us into the safe and secure country that is beautiful and prosperous today. And today, we lost this giant of a man.
It is a small consolation that all three of them have lived full long lives, and they have more than earned their rest. May they be in a better place, reunited with the loved ones who have gone on ahead of them. Rest in peace.
Thanks to viewing the Dragon Nest China server’s news about DWC Championship 2013, I learned about one of the Chinese vocaloid Luo TianYi (洛天依). At first I wasn’t very interested, but lately I went searching for her songs on a whim.
And while this is not the first song I found that I really liked, it definitely is one of the most memorable. Afterall, I AM a fujoshi. 😛
PS. The person who uploaded and translated the video/song named the song Rotten Girl’s Theory of Love, but I went with the term Fujoshi’s Theory of Love.
PPS. Warning, if you are not a fan of Boys’ Love or Yaoi, this song will likely make no sense at all to you. And google those terms at your own’s risk/
No, this doesn’t have to do with Dragon Nest game. A pair of actual hummingbirds is building their nest on a dangling plant in front of my house.
This photo is from days ago, we discovered the nest.
This is from this morning, when I was leaving house for work. One of the birds is heading for their WIP nest.
And the bird went inside to make the nest nice and comfy. Enlarge the image and you can see its cute yellow self at the centre.
